Through this website and my YouTube channel, “Office Shintani Japan | KJ,” I accept product review requests from manufacturers.
If you would like your product reviewed, please take a moment to read the information below before contacting me through the inquiry form.

About the Review Policy

My review policy reflects my company’s ethical standards and Japan’s regulations on stealth marketing under the Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations.
Please read through it before reaching out.

Review Policy

• I strive to reflect my honest opinions in my content, whether positive or negative.
• When a product has been provided to me, or when the content is promotional in nature, I state that clearly and explicitly in the content itself.
• I do not accept requests that come with a predetermined conclusion, whether positive or negative.

I see reviews as a way to evaluate good products properly and help them become better known.

When I receive payment or a product, I put in effort that matches what I have been given. That said, if I judge that I cannot deliver something of real value, I may decline the request.

It goes without saying that a project should be worthwhile for both of us. But if the content offers nothing of value to my readers and viewers, I don’t believe it is worth doing. I appreciate your understanding.

About Video Production Requests

Producing a video takes far more time and money than writing an article, so I would appreciate it if you could approach me with the market rate in mind.

At the moment, it is difficult for me to take on videos dedicated to a single product. That said, when it is a product I think is genuinely good, I do want to take it on — even if it is a stretch.

Like anyone else, I am always glad to review products from brands I already use and love. And if you are a manufacturer with real confidence in your product, all the more so — I would be honored to help.

Examples of Reviews

I have also worked with Japanese affiliate networks (ASPs) and ad agencies for many years, so I am equally open to working on a performance-based compensation model.

I imagine many advertisers already work with these networks, and performance-based affiliate marketing can be a low-risk option for both sides.
